Bible Journaling on iPad Pro
Happy New Year! I hope that everyone has had a great start to their New Year and are staying in the word. I love all things crafty. One item that I really love is my iPad Pro.
I am able to bring almost anything to life (depending on my artistic ability) all digitally. I bought my iPad two years ago. I will link at the bottom what I have if you are interested.
First thing is first! The app that I use is Procreate from the Apple Store. The iPad pencil is very unique because it is pressure sensitive. It feels like you are writing with an actual pencil/pen/paint brush depending on what brush you select.
I made a YouTube video of me iPad lettering and show you how I am writing a quote for a customer (my mom). This will be a print that I will also sell in my store if you are interested.
Below is the list of items that I have to calligraphy on my iPad. I have the older generation of the iPad pro, there have been several new versions sense I purchased mine, but I have no issues and my iPad works perfectly.
iPad: iPad Pro first generation (this is a refurbished version and a great deal!!)
Apple Pencil: This is the first generation Apple Pencil
Case 1: Poetic iPad Case (This is great because it has protected from MANY falls and has a spot for your pencil so you won’t lost it.)
Keyboard/Case: Logitech iPad Case and Keyboard (You don’t need this to letter at all. My husband bought this for me for Christmas! :) I wanted to use my iPad more as a laptop. For those that don’t know, I am a professional photographer and videographer and have a Mac Book pro. I prefer to not use that and take it places though if I can prevent - so this is a perfect solution)
Vera Bradley Slip cover: Case (This is not the one I have, but similar. I purchased mine at a outlet mall in 2016 for around $20 - told you I love good deals! I like this case with the poetic hard because I could drop it in my purse or backpack and not worry about my iPad screen getting scratched.)
Screen protector: iCarez Anti-Gare (This screen protector is great! It is a matte screen protector and it feels like paper when you write on it. I have had this same screen protector on my iPad sense I bought my iPad two years ago and it is working great.)
Procreate: App Store (This is the app where I am able to do all the magic! Your have to pay $9.99 but without it, you are very limited. Well worth the purchase!)
To draw on your iPad I suggest to simply PRACTICE!!!!! I have had my iPad a little over two years and just started sharing my work and selling it. It has taken me a lot of practice. I would find a Bible verse that I liked or a fun quote and rewrite it several times to find what my calligraphy looks like.
I hope you found this helpful if you did please let me know in the comments below! I am really excited about @mackleelettering. If you want to purchase a Bible head over to the shop. Until then, I will see you all later!
Have a great day - praying for you!
XOXO,
Mackenzie
