Fav Bibles!!!
Hey friends! I get several questions about my current fav Bibles so I thought I would write a blog about them!! Feel free to click the photo to go directly to the link. I encourage you to check for the best price through on Amazon, Christian Book, Lifeway, and Half Priced Books.
Below there are photos of the Bibles and quick links to buy them. I go further in-depth below on what I like and dislike which each!
NIV Note Taking Bible
This is the Bible I have been using every day recently. I did paint the cover so it clearly looks different.
But I really love the size of it. I can carry it in my purse (or around the house in our current state) and it is really handy! The words are big enough and I do like that! This is a single column Journaling Bible, that has a hard cloth cover.

The Jesus Bible
I LOVE the Jesus Bible! This Bible is SO good because it connects Jesus throughout the entire Bible and shows you God’s plan for the world. My only personal critique is that it is a little large - thick to fit in my purse. Which is why I have been using my NIV Notetakers now. But after taking these photos and looking back at it - I am wanting to use this one now. I am a Bible hopper okay… it is true.
The pages are white which is great, the commentary/facts are throughout the scripture in the margins. There are no lines in the margins. I don’t think this would be a good journaling Bible (another reason I stopped using it) because the commentary does take up an entire margin. The commentary is so rich though it is worth it. You can always tape little pieces of paper over the words to have room for your own notes.

ESV Double Column Journaling Bible (Soft Cover)
This is a great small Bible! It is in the ESV translation and is the smallest to the others I own. The only negative for me on this is because it is imitation leather - it is hard to write on in your lap. I have grown to love the hardcovers. I am a couch sitter. I work at a desk all day (even if I am working from home), so when I am off work, I need to rest my back and neck.
The pages are yellow and there are faint lines on the pages to help you write straight. Because the Bible is small, space is limited. So if you are a big note taker - keep this in mind. I was not able to find the leather one - but this is the same one just in a hardcover.

ESV Study Bible
ESV has been known to be the most accurate translation. This is a fantastic resource to help you better understand the history behind the scripture. The commentary is more historical based and helps you understand why things might be happening due to the culture.

CSB Life Connections Study Bible
This is the first Bible that led me to love the CSB translation! I LOVE this Bible. This Bible is a study Bible but asks questions to you - while you study to get you to really think about the scripture.
This is great if you lead group Bible studies because the Bible already has questions. It is also great just for personal reflection.

Life Application Study Bible NIV
This is my FAVORITE study Bible and taught me how to love reading God’s word! This is an NIV Life application study Bible. This is a little bit more guided than the Life Connections Bible. The negative to this is, the commentary can form your opinion on how to think about the scripture or context before you have time to react.
Regardless, I love this Bible. I don’t use it as much - I mostly use my NIV Notetakers Journaling Bible now but this Bible really taught me how to read the word and love it!

Jeremiah Study Bible
The David Jeremiah Study Bible is the newest one I have. And I really like. Dr. David Jeremiah is a world-known preacher. This is a study Bible with a mixture of facts about the scripture and history to the context AND personal questions you can ask yourself while reading. This is a large Bible and is pretty big for me to carry places but is perfect if I want to dig in and study the word deep.
